Description
MUC1 is a type I glycoprotein with a unique extracellular domain consisting of a variable number tandem repeat (VNTR) of 20 amino acids. It is overexpressed in many human cancer tissues, including breast, ovarian and pancreatic adenocarcinomas , as well as hematological malignancies, including multiple myeloma and B-cell lymphoma. T cell response to MUC1 peptides have been reported in multiple studies. Ignyte Bio offers an anti-MUC1 CD8+ T cells specific for a peptide (LLLLTVLTV) located at the signal sequence (MUC113-21) and restricted by HLA-A*0201
