Description
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is classified in the family Herpesviridae, subfamily Gamaherpesvirinae, genus Lymphocryptovirus and species Human herpesvirus 4. It is estimated that this ubiquitous virus has infected more than 90% of the world’s population. EBV is strongly associated with a number of diseases including infectious mononucleosis (IM), post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease and cancers, including: Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Burkitt’s lymphoma, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Ignyte Bio offers EBV-specific T cells generated against the immunodominant early lytic BMLF1 peptide position 280-288 (GLCTLVAML) presented by HLA-A*0201
